At Brightside Early Learning Centre, our programs are thoughtfully designed to support children from 6 weeks to 6 years through each stage of their early learning journey.

Learning Through Play

Children learn about themselves and the world around them through exploration, discovery and play.

Our play-based approach gives children opportunities to investigate ideas, experiment with materials, use their imagination, solve problems and learn alongside others.

Educators intentionally extend these moments through conversations, questions, resources and new experiences, creating a balance between child-led exploration and purposeful teaching.

Learning might begin with painting, building, gardening, sensory play, storytelling or an interest discovered outdoors – and develop into opportunities for creativity, communication, early literacy and numeracy, scientific thinking and problem-solving.

Children at Brightside are provided with open-ended opportunities to paint, draw, construct, create, experiment and engage in sensory and messy play.

These experiences allow children to make their own choices, test ideas and discover what different materials can do.

By valuing the process of exploration, children have the freedom to develop their imagination, confidence and individual ways of expressing themselves.

Building Independence & Confidence

Throughout each stage of our program, children are encouraged to become active participants in their own learning and everyday routines.

Educators provide guidance and encouragement while allowing children the time and space to try things for themselves.

Brightside Early Learning Centre provides play-based early learning and childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years at our centre on Burton Road, Paralowie.
